Lithosphere
The winds from Hurricane Katrina affected the lithosphere by causing erosion on the beaches of the Bahamas. Debris from many roof shingles and other items that were left outdoors damaged the top layer of the lithosphere. Trees and other plant life that were uprooted during the hurricane also cause damage to the lithosphere. When the hurricane hit, it caused homes to flood and land which created hazardous chemicals into the ground and water.
Hydrosphere
The water that the hurricane pulled into the air evaporated and became high humidity. Hurricane Katrina caused pathways and lakes to over flow with all the extra water levels. The flood caused extremely harmful waste products and chemicals to go into the oceans harming many creatures. With all the water Hurricane Katrina caused more lakes to be born in cities.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere from Hurricane Katrina was a mess. The hurricane caused many fires, which lead to extreme smoke floating around the air. While all the smoke was floating around everybody was inhaling the smokey air causing breathing issues. While the rain began to just fall it affected everything in one way shape or form and everyone that was in the surrounding areas. The atmosphere also had heating the atmosphere which made it easier for the tropical storms int he oceans to become stronger and turn into a hurricane. The atmosphere had extreme humidity and was almost unbearable.
Biosphere
The biosphere was strongly affected by Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina ruined many habitats for animals and many homes for humans due to fires and extreme flooding. The hurricane killed many trees, plants, animals and humans. While all of this was going on help was unable to get to all the scenes for days. Many fish, sharks, insects and turtles were also all killed from too much water coming in at one time causing the salt levels in oceans to drop causing many animals to go into shock since they aren't used to that specific habitat and nature conditions.
